Arrest Warrants

An arrest warrant is a formal request for the arrest and detention of a person. It is typically issued after a Grand Jury indictment or when law enforcement reasonably suspects criminal activity has occurred. Generally, to obtain one the police officer must ask a judge to sign the warrant so that the person can be brought it.

If the police show up at the door with a warrant for your arrest, exercise your right to remain silent and DO NOT make any statements to the police. Anything that you say WILL BE used against you.
